The Adelaide Hills wine region is ideally located between Barossa and McLaren Vale, and is only a short drive from Adelaide city.  The area is South Australia’s coolest wine region, and is ideal for a luxury tour if you are passionate about Pinot Noir or great cheese.  It is interspersed with a number of quaint towns, and a wide range of wineries. 

The veritable maze of roadways and byways, leading to misty valleys, with slopes offering every conceivable aspect, means there is much climatic variation as one can find anywhere in Australia.  This is where a private tour with a local wine guide who lives and works in the region is essential. 

While the first vines were planted in Adelaide Hills in the 1840s, it didn't gain much attention from the international wine community till the influx of boutique wineries in the 1970s.  Our award winning private tours can encounter many wine styles of the Adelaide Hills wine region, including cool climate varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
